The force behind Aguilar Law Offices, P.C.
is Esteban "Steve" A. Aguilar. He started the firm in
1996.
A native of El Paso, Texas, Steve graduated
from the University of Texas at El Paso with a degree in Criminal
Justice. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University
of New Mexico in 1978. After law school, Steve joined his mentors
in an El Paso law firm.
He then moved to Washington D.C., where he
worked on Capitol Hill as a legislative assistant for United States
Senator Lloyd Bentsen (D. Tex.). Later, Steve moved to Albuquerque
where he practiced in a number of firms before striking out on
his
own.
During his distinguished career, Steve has
acquired broad litigation experience in almost all legal areas.
He has handled criminal, domestic relations and real estate cases,
small business litigation and a variety of other complex litigation
cases in the state and federal courts of New Mexico and Texas.
Steve is a member of the New Mexico and Texas
State Bars, and he is licensed to practice law in both states,
in several district and appeals courts, as well as in the United
States Supreme Court.
